Profile protection

Overview

Next Design can protect profiles by disabling profile editing on a per-project basis to prevent accidental profile changes during project editing.

Protect profile

To protect your profile for the project you are editing:

Operating procedure

  1. From the ribbon, click Profile> Access Control> Protect.
  2. In the Profile protection dialog, enter the password if required.
  3. Click the [OK] button to disable all the following operations.
    • View or change metamodel
    • Change view definition
    • Export and import profiles
  4. To remove profile protection, click Profile> Access Control> Unprotect from the ribbon and enter the password if required.
